Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

How does Spreadwise review forex brokers?

We start from facts we can verify on a regulator's own register — the licensed entity, its authorisations and the platforms it offers. Editorial coverage is independent and never paid for. Where a figure such as spread, minimum deposit or rating is not yet confirmed by a hands-on review, we leave it blank rather than guess.

Are the brokers listed here regulated?

Every broker we list can be verified on a real regulator register such as BaFin, the FCA, the AMF, CONSOB, the CNMV, the KNF, the AFM or CySEC. A large group can hold several licences through different entities, so always confirm the specific entity that serves your country before you deposit.

How do I check a broker's licence myself?

Find the exact legal entity name on the broker's site that serves your country, then search that name on the relevant regulator's official public register. Confirm it is listed, currently authorised and permitted for CFD or investment dealing. Cross-check the domain and contact details to rule out a clone firm.

Why doesn't every broker show a spread or minimum deposit?

Forex and CFD trading is a high-risk, peak-YMYL topic, so we never publish a spread, minimum deposit or star rating we have not verified through a hands-on review. A blank field means we have not yet confirmed that number — not that the broker has no fee. We add figures only once they are checked.
